In the historic town of Vadstena, by the shores of Lake Vättern, the Swedish glassmaking tradition lives on through Vas Vitreum – a family-owned glassworks where craftsmanship, knowledge, and design come together. Vas Vitreum is run today by the fourth and fifth generation of glassmakers, with Mikael Kenlind continuing the family tradition with passion and innovation. At just eight years old, he stood by a small glassblowing bench built by his grandfather, and ever since, the glowing, molten crystal has been his world. Today, he leads the design and product development at the glassworks – always with a deep respect for the craft.
Every glass object is handmade, from the first breath into the pipe to the final polished detail. Using only the finest materials and with a commitment to genuine craftsmanship, Vas Vitreum produces vases, bowls, and candleholders that blend tradition with timeless design.
