The Royal Oak tealight holder from Vas Vitreum is a sleek and versatile decorative piece. Made of glass in a warm amber tone, it casts a soft, pleasant light wherever it’s placed – and can also be used as a small vase for flowers or twigs.
The name is a tribute to the history of the Swedish oak, which for centuries belonged to the Crown under the so-called skogsregale – reserved for building ships for the Swedish navy.
With its timeless shape and rich color, The Royal Oak is a harmonious detail that enhances both modern and classic interiors. It is handmade at the glassworks in Vadstena and carries all the qualities that define Vas Vitreum – solid craftsmanship, a deep sensitivity to materials, and a design language that stands the test of time.

Vas Vitreum is run today by the fourth and fifth generation of glassmakers, with Mikael Kenlind continuing the family tradition with passion and innovation. At just eight years old, he stood by a small glassblowing bench built by his grandfather, and ever since, the glowing, molten crystal has been his world. Today, he leads the design and product development at the glassworks – always with a deep respect for the craft.
Every glass object is handmade, from the first breath into the pipe to the final polished detail. Using only the finest materials and with a commitment to genuine craftsmanship, Vas Vitreum produces vases, bowls, and candleholders that blend tradition with timeless design.
