A serving bowl made of earthenware from Italy’s Nicola Fasano. Perfect for serving salad, soup, and pasta. It also works wonderfully as a decorative fruit or vegetable bowl on the kitchen counter. The bowl highlights food in an appealing way, making it easy to create a tasteful and decorative presentation, both for everyday use and festive occasions.
Each bowl is handcrafted with a robust feel and features a glaze that withstands the demands of daily use. The hand-painted design gives each piece a unique appearance with subtle variations in color and texture, with small imperfections being a natural part of the traditional craftsmanship.
The Tradizionali series is a symbol of traditional Apulian ceramics and can be found in most homes in Apulia. With its hand-painted, characteristic pattern of blue flowers framed by two thin brown lines, the sturdy ceramics provide a rustic touch that immediately brings to mind an Italian family dinner among olive groves and lemon trees.
The lines are painted by placing the ceramic on a rotating plate, controlled by a foot pedal, where light brush strokes create delicate lines while the plate rotates. The blue flowers are applied individually with a small stamp. This creates variations that make each detail special. Each plate is unique, with each brushstroke adding a personal touch and creating variations in the design.
Earthenware is dishwasher-safe at lower temperatures, but hand washing is recommended to preserve the item’s original finish and extend its lifespan.
