Rug No.11 from Cappelen Dimyr is a rustic and stylish rug made of thicker wool, woven using a traditional basketweave technique. The bold and oversized yarn runs through the entire rug and is finished with fringes made of the same yarn along all sides. This hand-knotted rug is made of natural, unbleached wool and represents the first in Cappelen Dimyr's collection of rugs with a more classic appearance.
Each rug is unique, and minor variations in color and details may occur as a result of the handmade production process.
Please note that the rug's dimensions are specified excluding fringes. See complete product information under "Features."
Cappelen Dimyr exclusively uses natural fibers, such as untreated linen and wool, in an effort to create products with minimal negative impact on the environment. Each individual part of the rug is handmade, washed with natural soap, and dried in the sun. No chemicals are used at any stage of production. All products from Cappelen Dimyr are certified according to the Good Weave Certification and Care & Fair standards.
Care Instructions
The rug has partially long pile, which typically has an initial tendency to shed fibers. Therefore, we recommend vacuuming the rug frequently to reduce this shedding. Shedding will decrease over time.
To remove stains, use only a small amount of warm water or, for more stubborn stains, a small amount of soap. Wool naturally contains grease that helps prevent stains from penetrating the fibers. For a more thorough cleaning, dry cleaning is recommended.
