Based in Brooklyn, New York, Apotheke develops and manufactures soaps, lotions and scented candles. The company uses only natural raw materials and vegetable oils. The production is small-scale and the products are poured and packed by hand. The company was founded in 2011 by Chrissy Fichtls. Her passion for soap making, fragrance and essential oils is what laid the foundation for the brand. She started by buying essential oils directly from nearby farms and taught herself about the beauty of essential oils and soap making. In the summer of 2012, Apotheke opened its first factory in a 3,000 m2 premises in Brooklyn, New York.
