Classic kitchen knife with a carbon steel blade and a boxwood handle. The knife blade has the traditional shape of a paring knife and is still produced in the same way as it was 100 years ago. This compact knife is perfect for small tasks like peeling onions and cutting vegetables.
The blade is made of carbon steel, which is easier to sharpen and becomes sharp quickly, but it may lose its edge a bit faster compared to stainless steel. Carbon steel requires a bit more care and will develop a beautiful patina over time.
Care Instructions
Always hand wash the knife, and do not let it soak. It's a good practice to dry it with a towel between uses and store the knife in a dry place.
History
Since the 17th century, knife-making has been a tradition in Solsona, northern Spain. The Pallarès company was founded in 1917 and has been the last remaining legacy of the famous knife makers in Solsona since the 1990s. The Pallarès Canal brothers quickly became known for their cheerful disposition and sharp knives. From the 1960s until the third generation took over in the early 2000s, the company was run by Lluís's children, Jesús and Juli Pallarès Moncunill.
