Arvet "The Heritage" is a unique collaboration between Lursta Cast Iron and chef Stefan Ekengren. A timeless food icon, a family heirloom, which, thanks to its high quality and timeless design, is passed down through generations. What other dish is so closely associated with homeliness, comfort, and memories than the iconic pancake? Arvet is the pancake griddle to be used every time pancakes are on the menu, to become a part of those comforting, warm memories.
Arvet is handcrafted at Lyrestad Foundry from recycled scrap from the local scrap dealer. Using advanced analysis systems, the material is fine-tuned to the highest quality. The pancake griddle is then seasoned with three layers of locally produced rapeseed oil.
With Arvet, Lursta aims to update the design of cast iron. Building on traditional craftsmanship, they have created a pan meant to be passed down from generation to generation with a long-term perspective. Thanks to thoughtful design, you'll find the pan lighter than it actually is. The weight of cast iron provides the exceptional qualities of a cast iron pan. The griddle strikes a perfect balance between functional weight and a lightweight form. The design contributes to making the user experience feel secure and elegant.
The pan is slightly smaller than many other pancake pans, partly to make those who find cast iron pans too heavy feel comfortable, but primarily because, of course, two freshly cooked pancakes are better than one large one! - Characteristics
