Our caramel - a classic round lamp base with a twist where the irresistible colors, along with the soft shape, have been inspired by an old-fashioned candy store. Lampshades in boucle yarn made of mohair are elegantly twisted in a way that creates small loops in the fabric, giving it a unique character and structure. Together with the handmade ceramic lamp base, a beautiful contrast is created.
The elegant and charming Tondo adds playfulness to a room and becomes an eye-catcher. Our lamp is contemporary, timeless, and durable - a piece of art in itself. It is as beautiful when lit as when turned off, becoming a natural focal point in any room.
We recommend using an LED bulb with warm light. This type of light source is both energy-efficient and gentle on the lampshade, while not creating shadows on it. A large/standard bulb is best suited for the lamps.
More about the lamp base: The lamp base is crafted by the family business Nicola Fasano in Puglia, southern Italy. The craft has been passed down through 18 generations in the family, where ceramics are created using ancient methods that carry the original craft tradition. The manufacturing process involves several steps, where clay is shaped and hand-painted by skilled ceramicists with extensive experience and passion for the profession.
More about the lampshade: The lampshade is handcrafted in a studio outside Eskilstuna, where lampshade production dates back to the 1940s, and the craft has been passed down from generation to generation. The Torno fabric, manufactured in Italy, is a fantastic material made of wool and linen boucle, woven in jacquard with linen warp, providing an exciting structure. Tightly twisted mohair wool creates small loops in the fabric, contributing to its unique character and delightful retro feeling. Astrid Textiles produces wonderful fabrics where environmental care is an essential part that characterizes both the quality and passion for the craft.
