"Little Petra, originally introduced in 1938, was immedietly praised at Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition and then awarded with prizes at exhibitions in New York and Berlin.

Little Petra was designed in 1938 by the architect Viggo Boesen, a relatively unknown danish architect. Despite the fact that only a few of his designs and furniture at that time were put into production, Boesen's original ideas, with strong organic forms and expressive design, contributed to Denmark's subsequent stance on modernism.

His work especially reflected on scandinavian functional style, which is a nordic perspective on Art Deco. In contrast to the principles of Bauhaus, massproduced materials and a ""less is more""-perspecitve - Boesen came about with a gentle, warm and almost naive look to become a forerunner of a direction towards more organically shaped upholstered furniture.

Little Petra is surprisingly small and fits in all types of spaces, interiors and environments. With its low seat height and embracing character embodies the core of whats wanted in a armchair."
