Landala Dining Table in solid oak, designed by Emma Olbers for Tre Sekel. The table is made of quarter-sawn oak, which creates a beautiful tabletop with vertical year rings running parallel across the entire surface. The table is available in three lengths: 160cm, 215cm, and 270cm.
Emma Olbers on the design: "Currently, large tables that serve both dining and study purposes are popular. Here is my interpretation: slightly narrower, well-balanced proportions, and easily disassembled. Narrower because I believe it leads to better dinner conversations when people sit closer together, and it also enhances the aesthetic appeal. Moreover, it takes up less space. The rounded edge makes the table inviting—it is drawn freehand, so it's not a perfect radius. The main parts are not glued together, making it easy to disassemble and reassemble. The table features uniquely designed wing nuts to add even more uniqueness."
Landala Dining Table was named Furniture of the Year 2016 by Residence magazine with the following justification: "With its focus on sustainability and a sense of the beauty of simplicity, Emma Olbers has achieved an elegant balance of practicality, lightweight construction, durability, and clever disassemblability in this large table."
